IF Health Forge

Our Forge will focus on the independent development of innovative digital health products and services that will look to solve some of the biggest problems in healthcare. Although we will look to undertake independent solutions, this will be best delivered though collaborations and partnerships with the multiple stakeholders who need to come together to make the world a better place.

Our initial focus will be on four key areas:

Improving quality of life

With a focus on helping people improve their happiness and mental wellbeing and the better management of mental health issues that are associated with acute, chronic and terminal illness.

Better management of chronic diseases

Perhaps the greatest challenge to global healthcare is the prevention and better management of chronic diseases, which are by far the leading cause of mortality in the world.

Access to care

Access to care is a global problem that includes large scale health inequalities across the developed and the developing world. We will look to focus on solutions that help deliver an improved quality of care regardless of where people live or how much money they have.

Ageing populations

The United Nations has projected that by the year 2100 the world’s population will be 11.2 billion and of that population 3.2 billion will be at least 60 years of age. The implications for the provision of healthcare are stark with huge repercussions for the quality of care and the quality of life for older people.
